The company was formed in 2011 and is headed by two health professionals, Sarah, a registered physiotherapist is fully qualified to treat and advise on all forms of musculoskeletal problems but has a specialist interest in hand therapy and pain relief. Jeffrey our second principal is a retired Ambulance Officer with some 16 years on the road experience.
Jeffrey has personal experience of chronic pain, having been involved in a serious road accident at the age of 15. He has experienced years of arthritic pain in his arms, legs and back and also suffers from Peripheral neuropathy which has developed through being diabetic. Jeffrey endures constant continuous pain associated with this condition and has an osteoarthritic knee-joint.
Early in 2010 after being driven to despair through constant pain, lack of sleep and a generally miserable quality of life, he decided that just swallowing more and more pills was not the answer and embarked on a quest to find a more acceptable form of drug free pain relief.
Eventually after hundreds of hours research and many hundreds of pounds worth of expenditure on supposed treatments, he came across FIR therapy products in the USA and Australia. Jeffrey had never heard of FIR therapy and the products were very expensive, however he placed a trial order and began to use a lower leg support with F.I.R technology to try to alleviate chronic leg pain.
At the very beginning of using the support he thought to himself "more rubbish, it's not working" but that evening at about 10pm (the time at which he took his nightly pain relief) he realised that the pain in his leg had subsided!!
A continued regime of using the support on a daily basis proved that F.I.R. therapy was indeed working, the Peripheral Neuropathy pain in the lower leg and arthritic knee pain have reduced by approximately 85-90%.
Elated by his finding of this drug free pain relief he decided to research further into F.I.R. therapy and to try to find similar products which he could make available to the general public at an affordable cost. After much research Jeff found a company which was an amalgamation of three busineses, Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese. All three of these businesses were involved in alternative therapys and were actively researching methods of drug free relief for joint and muscular pain both in elderly patients and younger sports persons.
This company NGL, or the New Green Life Corporation had invented and patented a new form of FIR therapy products with the added benefits of Chitosan ,called NGL Bio-Chitosan Sporting and Medical support series. These are marketed in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, The Middle East, USA and over the last decade have helped thousands of chronic pain sufferers lead a more fulfilled life through reduced pain.
The products proved to be far superior to those from the USA and Australia both in quality of manufacture and efficacy. After long negotiation a United Kingdom Sole Agency agreement was agreed upon so that this exciting new product could be made available in the UK.
And that is how Natural thermal therapy support Garments Ltd came into existence.
